Villa Casagrande Resort E Spa - Figline Valdarno

4-star historic castle hotel with a modern spa in Figline Valdarno

Amenities & Grounds

Villa Casagrande provides two swimming pools: an indoor heated pool inside the hotel and an outdoor pool set on a hill with views of the Tuscan hills. The hotel grounds include a typical Italian garden, sun terraces, and outdoor furniture for sitting. On-site activities include winery tours of the 15th-century cellars and bike tours through the surrounding Chianti countryside.

Rooms & Suites

The hotel offers 60 rooms that preserve the building's 14th-century architecture, including vaulted loggia and medieval courtyard. Accommodations range from classic double rooms to spacious family suites with a separate kitchen and garden access. Each room is cleaned daily and includes air conditioning, private bathroom, and a safety deposit box.

Dining & Culinary Experiences

Two restaurants operate on the property: Terrae in the main villa and Cielo Casagrande next to the outdoor pool. Both serve traditional Tuscan cuisine with ingredients produced on-site, including Chianti wine and olive oil. Guests can join cooking classes led by chef Anna, who is also a certified sommelier, and participate in wine and oil tasting sessions.

Wellness & Spa

The spa and wellness center occupies a converted pottery factory and offers a sauna, Turkish bath, hot tub, and indoor hydrotherapy pool. Massage treatments include back massage, couples massage, and full body massage using spa packages. Guests also have access to a fitness centre, yoga classes, and outdoor sun loungers by the pools.

Location & Accessibility

Villa Casagrande sits at the edge of Figline Valdarno, a 10-minute walk from the town centre and train station. Direct trains reach Florence in 30 minutes and Siena and Arezzo are within driving distance. Free on-site parking is provided, and the hotel is wheelchair accessible with grab rails and an elevator.
